Job Overview The staff member will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Neurology service. Working closely with the Neurology Improvement Manager and wider team, the role involves providing a full confidential secretarial service to the Neurology consultants and wider team. The postholder must be highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently, with excellent computer literacy (including Microsoft Office and relevant databases) and strong communication skills. A flexible approach and the ability to prioritise workload effectively are essential to succeed in this role. Main duties of the job • To provide a full confidential secretarial service to the Neurology service. • Carry out duties as defined by the Business Support Manager • Provide support as required to Managers and Staff with Management of waiting lists and clinic utilisation • Excellent computer literacy is essential for the role, which will include the use of Microsoft Office packages and relevant databases. • Highly organised, self-motivated, have a flexible approach to work and have excellent verbal and written communication skills • To work independently managing own workload in line with defined policies and procedures. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
