Nursery Cook – Part Time | Uxbridge, UB8
£12.71 - £13.50 per hour
A leading group of independent Montessori Nurseries and Preschools in West London is looking for a talented Nursery Cook to join our wonderful team in Uxbridge!
We're after someone friendly, energetic and flexible who loves creating nutritious meals for little ones and wants to be part of a vibrant, child-focused environment.
Location: Uxbridge, UB8 2TJ
Hours: 10am – 2pm, Monday to Friday (20 hours/week, Part Time, Permanent)
Salary: £12.71 - £13.50/hour
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing and cooking nutritionally balanced meals for under-5s
- Contributing ideas to menu planning for a healthy, multicultural diet
- Keeping the kitchen safe, clean and healthy
- Managing kitchen stock and food orders
- Recording temperature checks and other logs
- Meeting health & safety and environmental health standards
- Liaising with staff on children's dietary needs
- Attending appraisals, training and team meetings
- Keeping confidentiality and staying current on best practice
What We're Looking For
- Current Food Hygiene Certificate
- Awareness of food allergies
- Experience cooking balanced meals for babies/young children with varied dietary needs
- Confident with food prep equipment, used economically
- Able to order food and manage kitchen stock
- A team player who also uses initiative
- Good time management and prioritisation skills
