Experienced Quality Lead / Nursery Manager (Room-Based Role)

A leading group of independent Montessori nurseries in the Wembley & Harrow area is seeking an experienced and passionate Quality Lead / Nursery Manager to join their dynamic team at their Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ nursery.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader with extensive EYFS knowledge and a genuine passion for high-quality childcare and Montessori education.

Salary : £43,000 – £45,000 per annum + excellent benefits

Location : Wembley, HA9

Hours : 40 hours per week - Rotating early and late shifts between 7:30am – 6:30pm

Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of a busy 120-place nursery with support from the Area Manager and Directors
• Lead, support, and motivate a team of 36 staff to deliver outstanding childcare and education
• Ensure high standards of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for all children
• Promote positive relationships with parents, children, and colleagues
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, compliance, and nursery operations
• Support staff development and ensure excellent practice across the nursery
• Carry out responsibilities delegated by the Directors
• Provide guidance and support to all nursery personnel
• Ensure full adherence to EYFS, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Level 3 Childcare qualification or above from a recognised awarding body
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Nursery Manager
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Montessori qualification or previous Montessori experience (desirable)
