 About Us

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a passionate Nursery Senior Room Leader to join our fantastic nursery in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, OX14. All our staff are encouraged and supported in further training in general childcare and in more specialised areas such as Special Educational Needs and also in practical skills like food hygiene. We are now looking for someone to join our team who is passionate about childcare and providing the best start for all. We strive to make children feel secure and develop their own likes and interests, learning through play!

 Days/Hours: (Please see below)

  • 40 Hours over 4 or 5 Days / Shifts between 7.30-6pm  
  • All year round / Permanent

*Please note we cannot accommodate school hours or term time

Senior Room Leader Salary: Up to £30,000pa (depending on age, qualifications, and experience)

 About the Role

In this role, we are looking for a passionate Room Leader who is able to inspire others and create exciting and challenging learning opportunities for children.

Senior Room Leader Responsibilities

  • Providing the highest level of childcare and early education experiences for all children in the nursery.
  • Working as part of a passionate staff team and contributing to the running and development of the nursery.
  • Ensuring that children's learning and development are celebrated with the child and their families.
  • Using your knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage & child development to plan and implement interest-led, engaging learning activities on a daily basis.

About You
The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (full and relevant)
  • Have previous experience as a nursery practitioner or similar role
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to outdoor learning and inclusive practices
  • Possess excellent communication skills for interacting with parents and carers
  • Be eligible to work in the UK
